2016 Recipient
Thanks to the generous donations from people like you, the Paul F. Cressy Foundation paid the 2017-18 Jesuit High School tuition, including most fees ($9,150) for Kaden Knecht.
Kaden is a senior at Jesuit, and was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2016. Kaden is being treated at St. Jude’s in Memphis and its satellite clinic, Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. He drives there for his regular chemo treatments and checkups. He goes to Memphis for major inductions and checkups.
By all accounts, Kaden is a superstar kid. He is on the honors track at Jesuit and a standout baseball player. Having to sit the bench this year because of his chemo treatments has been really tough for Kaden but he apparently still never misses a practice or a game unless he physically cannot.
His mother, Laura, works at Tulane Lakeside Hospital as a nurse supervisor. She has a great work ethic and a huge sense of responsibility for her staff; however, she has had to pull back on shifts to make sure her kids get the proper care they need.
Two year ago, Kaden’s little brother, Kristian, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He was treated at St. Jude in Memphis and is currently in remission.

Our Primary Goal:
Our 2016, and first, recipient was Julie Brandt. Thanks to the generous support of people like you, the Foundation paid the 2016-17 tuition for Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans.
Julie has battled stage 3 breast cancer. She is not considered a “Cancer Survivor” and she attributed her hard-fought victory to the help, love, and support of her family.
We are honored to have helped Julie. She is exactly who the Foundation was created to help.
